Biography
Alison Hong
Principal
Alison L. Hong, is a physician dedicated to improving patient outcomes and value-based performance. Throughout her career, she has guided healthcare organizations in identifying high-value opportunities and devising effective strategies for improvement.
Collaborations have resulted in consistent top-tier performance, enhanced patient safety outcomes, and optimized value-based initiatives. As an expert in large-scale performance enhancement, Dr. Hong has published numerous articles on the application of collaborative models to implement evidence-based practices at local, state, and federal levels.
Dr. Hong was born in New York City and raised in Staten Island. She graduated from Susan E. Wagner High School and pursued English Literature at Southampton College, Long Island University. She later earned her Doctorate in Medicine from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago, School of Medicine, Dominican Republic.
Dr. Hong has spearheaded clinical quality, risk management, performance improvement, accreditation, survey readiness, patient safety, and population health efforts for various organizations, including Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Trinity Health - New York, Yale New Haven Health, Connecticut Hospital Association, and New York-Presbyterian Hospitals of Cornell and Columbia.
An expert in change management and implementation science, she holds a faculty appointment at Thomas Jefferson University's College of Population Health, where she teaches applied quality and high reliability science in the Master of Science program. She is also the Assistant Director, Operational Excellence.
Engagements have been conducted nationally and internationally including the Health Authority of the UAE based in Abu Dhabi.
